I’m looking for some bands like bullet for my valentine but I don’t like the scream stuff like bring me the horizon. I like stuff like bfmv.

Is it because it loses moisture? If I keep it in a sealed bag, will it last longer? How can I preserve the life of my rubber bands?

it mostly has to do with temperature, rubber bands are made from cross linking polymers that become stiff as temperature increases, so if you keep your rubber bands in a cool, but not dry place, such as your refrigerator they should last longer

I don’t have a clue of what I should add. I listen to anything that ranges from emo-core to death metal. And some heavier sounding electronic/techno bands. Any suggestions of good bands?

Do you have the Zune pass? If so, here are a couple things to get you started.

1. Subscribe to the hard rock premium channel. Not all of it will be super-heavy but you’ll come across some heavy stuff too.
2. Check out the X-treme Fitness: Metal and X-treme Fitness: Techno playlists in the Zune Marketplace.
3. Find any band you currently like in the Zune Marketplace and click "Smart DJ". It will generate a playlist of other similar music which is a great way to find new bands.
4. If you like metal and hard-techno, you’ll probably love industrial music. Check out the Industrial Music Primer playlist in the Zune Marketplace.
5. Some suggestions for harder techno bands - Combichrist, Juno Reactor, The Prodigy, Infected Mushroom, Velvet Acid Christ. Especially check out the song "Artillery" from Infected Mushroom.
6. Some suggestions for metal bands you’ll like - In Flames, Killswitch Engage, Children of Bodom, Shadows Fall, All That Remains, Opeth.

We have all these bands come through weekday and weekends and of course they all boast a huge fan base. On average, they can’t prove it the nights that they play. Now I do not book national acts, just local bands, so I don’t have a lot of data on these folks. I’m sick of drunk bands so I am not offering free drinks to them. What other ideas might work? Any bar owners, musicians, or patrons are welcome to answer.

talk to bar owners in your area and try to get a feel foe the local music scene in your area…Doing this, I have found which bands bring in the people, and which bands don’t….

What are some bands that are religious or just like to sing romantic rock but with heavy guitar?Also that have positive messages.

I’ve been looking into buying a camcorder to record my bands shows. I need something 125$ or less. I really want something that has good audio (obviously) and can capture a good picture in dark places. The venues I play in tend to be dark. I have been looking at Aiptek camcorders but I’m worried I’m going to buy something that isn’t worth the money. Does anyone have any suggestions on camcorders?

Toy cams, entry level consumer and mid-range consumer camcorders have small lenses and imaging chips so low-light behavior will be poor. They also do not have manual audio control so if your band is loud, the audio will be poor.

The least expensive cams - of which I am aware - that have manual audio control are the Canon HV230 and Sony HDR-HC9. Sorry. It is what it is.

You can get the cheap cam for the video - but when you edit, replace the audio with audio captured by a field recorder like those from Zoom or M-Audio or Edirol among others… The field recorders have manual audio control - the good ones can use external mics - the best ones connect external XLR mics.
